Favorite WOD or movements?
Favorite WOD is Kalsu, and most chippers
Movements: Squats! Deadlifts, HSPU
Least favorite WOD or movements?
One word: Snatches 🙂
What sports/health background do you have if any?
No formal educational background but have been into fitness and healthy lifestyle for ~8 years – lots of research!
How did you first get exposed to CrossFit?
From a challenge to try it
Do you remember your first time doing CrossFit, how did it go?
Yes! Lead to an addiction. After getting bored in the gym, it was a welcome challenge and never boring
What changes have you seen since starting at CrossFit South?
Increase in strength. Happiness with my self image. No more dieting. Pushing myself when I would have given up before.
Any advice for new people starting or contemplating CrossFit?
Just try it. Trust your coaches. Work hard and you will get there. And when you do, all of your CrossFit team members will be cheering you on. Always.
Hobbies/interest outside of a WOD?
Running, swimming, cooking, drinking good beer and eating good food
Favorite cheat meal?
Pizza. With beer.
What do you want to accomplish by this time next month? In 3 months? Before the end of the year?
Get back to strength work
Muscle up, 200+ deadlift and back squat
Snatch 100+ pounds; sub-5-minute Grace!
What type of music do you like to WOD to?
Not Sponge Bob! A good mix of metal, rock, and rap. You know, “Let the Bodies Hit the Floor” into “It’s all good…all my bitches”
